Does anyone else think there should be a Voyager movie? Like after they get back to earth or something?
I have read the books Homecoming and The Farther Shore by Christie Golden and I thought they were great, it would be good to see those books on the big screen as I think it is a great storyline. Even if they don't use that storyline I think they could come up with something good.
Ok so yeah the actors are getting older but why not make one now before its too late?
If there were to be a new movie on VOY, it would be in name only. I think a mixed cast from TNG, DS9 and VOY would be more logical. That way, not all of the actors would have to be in the movie and it would be a way for the VOY crew to return again
Yes I agree. If there ever was a post whatever movie... (Big if, by the way - I'm not exactly keen on there being one just for the sake of it but wouldn't say no to something good.) ...then some kind of crossover scenario would (methinks) be the best way to go.
Most of the actors look like crap now anyway. If they'd all hit the gym, I think a Voyager movie could be constructed. Perhaps this is wishful thinking by someone who is actually co-brain storming a script for such a venture. It would be the tops if it could get picked up.
These are some good points and ideas
Maybe I'll just have to let it go...
Besides If the new Star Trek movie is successful I reckon they will probably make more like that and not bother bout Voyager or DS9 =(
Voyager never had the following that TOS and TNG had so Paramount would never spend the money on it. I don't see it happening - especially with the reboot coming.
Since most of the actors look like crap now and are older I think if they hit the gym (as others have said) the movie should be years later and the crew (at least those that agree) can be brought back for one more mission.
It would have to be something big though, not just the typical borg invasion.
Something like a whole new enemy thats never been heard of by even the borg.
Aye, this is definatley needed in my opinion. Too many things were left unanswered in Homecoming and The Farther Shore. I admit, they had a good, sturdy plot, but they didn't do justic for me. Like said before, if XI's successful, they'll produce more like it. They've done got everyone locked in place for sequels already in terms of the main cast. If anything, I hope they pull one off for 2011 or 2014; the date's obvious on why these years.....
What I am about to say will sound sacrilege because I love Voyager. Big Screen, No. It would flop faster than a fish out of water. Small screen like a made for TV movie .....maybe. Voyager wasn't as popular as TNG, &TOS, so I just don't see investors putting out the dough to finance the production costs. Also it would be without Chakotay because the actor that plays him Robert Beltran truly hates the character. Just google any media with him in it. I just don't see it. Things are best left the way they are.
I would love to see it, but the series didn't have the success TOS or TNG had it wouldn't do well at the box office. I would love to see what happens to my favorite characters.
If you look back Tom paris was in a next gen at the academy. and as for Sisco, great actor great captain. I have a fav, Picard .. I'm an original. I've also drawn and met most of them, including mrs. roddenbury. Well, if you'd like friend, add me.
