Was just wondering if anyone had any particualar favorites amongst the starships? More of a fan of the underdogs? (Oberth, Nova etc) Or out and out power (Promethius, Soverign, defiant etc). Old or New?
the best ship is the orion battle raider. its fast, and manuverable which is beneficial to the orions on their raids. it can also be outfitted with the weaponry of their enemies which makes them able to stand and fight if necessary.
Excelsior.
By far the most upgradeable ship in Trek.
Plenty of Power, good guns, good speed and more maneuverable than anything in TNG.
Capable of carrying all the goodies a Sovereign does and a hardcore proven design.
Definitely the TOS and movie-era ships! To me, they mark the beginnings of the "Technology Unchained" concept Gene Roddenberry was going for in TNG. I Comparing them to American cars of the 20th century, I can see the clunker
Model "T" technology in Archer's Enterprise NX_01, the smooth lines and cool fins of Kirk's Original Enterprise NCC-1701 and refit Constitution II Class, to the "modern" stylishness of Picard's Sovereign-Class Enterprise...Ooooo! Power and Sexiness! All I need to see now is a scene with a soapy, scantily-clad Yeoman Rand, Seven of Nine and T'Pol washing the Enterprise' exterior (hamburgers optional!)
I wouldn't be to surprised if someone actually tries that, or painting jaws on the sides of the main hull on next to the deflector dish in the new Online game coming out. On some of the released screen shots there is an akira class that has flames painted on it.
If you look back Tom paris was in a next gen at the academy. and as for Sisco, great actor great captain. I have a fav, Picard .. I'm an original. I've also drawn and met most of them, including mrs. roddenbury. Well, if you'd like friend, add me.
