A problem with the Borg
I have a serious problem with the Borg and their assimilating the other races of Star Trek. The Borg are far superior in technology than the Federation when comes to space travel because truly a borg cube can travel faster than anything the Federation has when it comes to a ship technology etc etc etc. My question is why would the Borg waste their time with Humans, Klingons, Romanulans, etc etc on assimilating these races that are far less technology advanced than the Borg. Would it be more wise for the Borg to only assimlate races that are more technical advance than them to improve them as a race where the Borg assimilate Humans this will degrade their race of perfection because of Human being less technology advance. Also why does the Borg only assimalte a race when it becomes warp capable? Being warp capable is slower than what a Borg Cube can travel......

The Borg do not just assimuate...they also go after planets as well as space ships.....its a matter of tearing apart a tecnology or resorses and taking as much as you can take....like in the TV show " V" those lizzard did not care that they were higher up on the food chain , they were there to FEED and thats what the Borg do....they FEED ad whatever they can get . THATS what made the Borg so scary , especially when they were heading to Earth. They would have wiped out the entire planet.

What I never understood about the Borg, is that if they were seeking true "perfection", then why didnt they just create perfect mechanical androids? Why even bother with living matter? If thier technology was SO far more advanced, then why would they even need to assimilate ANYTHING living in the first place?
They werent trying to become perfect organic living beings, they were trying to become perfect mechanical beings...so why bother with organics at all?
They stole knowledge one way or the other, regarless of having a living being present or not.....again, so why even bother with assimilation? Just suck out the knowledge and go.
The Borg ships should have been filled with Datas.
And that brings me to another issue. Data WAS a mechaincal being looking to be perfect....WHY didnt they ever try to assimilate HIM (in the tv shows, not the movie)? I know the Queen had the hots for him and tried sweet talking him, but why didnt the Borg just take him over like they did all the others? I dont get it.
And what makes it even MORE idiotic, is that in the movie, they TRY and graft human tissue onto his frame! The Borg are nothing but hypocrites. They dont want to be perfect, they want to be human. But then WHY assimilate living beings if you want to be like them?
Its like a dog chasing its tail....its hypocricy that never ends.
