Permalink Reply by Holo-Girl on September 6, 2012 at 10:19pm I read an article about this on sciencefiction.com after reading this post. I think this is a wonderful idea. Worf is a great character that has depth and is worth exploring.
From what I can remember when I was first watching Star Trek: TNG, it seemed to me that there wasn't enough Worf and that more could have been done with him. I was very young when I was watching TNG, so it's possible that he got more attention in the show than I realize, but every once in a while I catch an episode or two and think that it would be cool for the show to feature him more often.
As much as I could get jazzed about the idea, I think it's highly doubtful anything like this would come to fruition. Anyone remember George Takei's efforts to get a Captain Sulu series off the ground? Personally, I'd rather have a Klingon Empire series, but meh.

Permalink Reply by T'Kara on September 8, 2012 at 6:44pm It would be so logical to have another Star Trek series on TV once again!! And Worf is perfect for the part. He is handsome, honorable, a worthy Klingon for the part.
Permalink Reply by Spot Speaks on September 28, 2012 at 4:58pm Although I love M.D., Im not a big fan of Worf, although his character had me laughing a lot!
I would say, being a fan of M.D.s work, this would be a top notch series for sure. And I probably would watch if he were to marry a plain ole human female. That would be worth a couple hundred episodes Im sure.
As for a new ST series on its own.......I think it should be a future of the future of ST.....where tiffs with the Borg and Species 8472 have made the Federation build some warships with cloaking devices and slipstream technology.
Permalink Reply by James on September 29, 2012 at 2:44pm slipstream isn't perfected (when Voyager ended)....so I can actually see that technology going the way Transwarp drive did.
Permalink Reply by James on September 29, 2012 at 2:43pm Sweet, but... doesn't anyone get tired of seeing things from the Federation viewpoint? Klingons are technically the good guys also, so why can't we see a spin off of TOS or TNG featuring Klingons? Even the Romulans would be good, especially with the destruction of their home world: Romulus. I can see the drama with Romulans very easily, as they are pretty abusive to the alien races in their territories.
That wouldn't be "Star Trek."
Don't get me wrong: I'd happily watch a Klingon Empire TV show, but the folks at Paramount probably would have a hard time "selling" it to a network, much less seeing it done properly.
Permalink Reply by Spot Speaks on September 30, 2012 at 5:32am Werent there a few episodes sort of like "in the day of a Klingons life"?
I always find those interesting, when they do a story line from the opposite viewpoints.
Of course, but a few episodes and an entire series are markedly different animals.
