I have a question and I want you to think about it were the vulcans Intolerant when they first met at first contact? my impression of the vulcans were that they arrogant in way data was a machine so he was child like.

Permalink Reply by Spot Speaks on Well, from what I understand about First Contact....the Vulcans chose to make contact because humans finally reached warp travel. I wouldnt think that they would have wasted their time if they were going to be snotty about the situation.
If you are talking about the first contact from the movie, I would say the Vulcans were very friendly and curious. Much more so then than they are now.
Vulcans have always considered themselves to have more stable personalities because of the "lack" of emotions, but I dont think they ever used that to belittle anyone....especially at a first contact. That wouldnt be logical.
