Comment by Andorian on April 15, 2013 at 1:41pm Yes. I agree. It seems to require quite a bit of energy to play and in turn lifts you up as well. One of my favorite pieces is Rachmaninov's Rhapsody on a Theme by Paganini. It seems to have a similar effect. I have found that the 24 Paganini caprices on which it is based is a little harsh, but Rachmaninov's take on Paganini's violin solos is just beautiful.
