Yes. I agree. It seems to require quite a bit of energy to play and in turn lifts you up as well. One of my favorite pieces is Rachmaninov's Rhapsody on a Theme by Paganini. It seems to have a similar effect. I have found that the 24 Paganini caprices on which it is based is a little harsh, but Rachmaninov's take on Paganini's violin solos is just beautiful.

I like Chopin's Nocturn in C sharp minor lately. It seems to appear everywhere in film and television.

Most recently on the playlist were Fantaisie Impromptu, Nocturne in E-flat Maj, and Etude in E Major. Chopin is my go-to when I want to relax :)

I didn't know this group existed, how awesome :) I've been listening to a selection of opera legends all day, and this evening I have been enjoying the company of Mozart and Chopin.
