before we put an end to money and war and all those things, we have to put an end to selfishness! and that is super hard because even really nice, great people can have their moments of selfishness. once selfishness is gone then people will really start to care about their fellow man, and money and war will be obsolete. *total wishful thinking!* :)

Though I agree wholeheartedly that the way we organize resources in an inequitable way is the cause of most of our suffering, we don't really have a proper alternative and there is still enormous scarcity. That's why I'm hoping for a technological breakthrough to solve that. The problem is that unlimited energy basically makes the profit motive obsolete, so no one is likely to devote too much towards attaining that goal under our current economic system.

Ending the monetary system has got to be first. Most crime and suffering is a result from a lack of money. We currently have the technology to provide for the world but greed and money prevents our progress.

Encountering an alien species to unite humanity into a federal world government; that would be a good start. Follow that by the discovery of an unlimited energy supply to make scarcity and capitalism obsolete. Then we are on our way.
