StarTrekRadio.com is owned and operated by Zach Nicodemous, Executive Producer of other such successful Star Trek websites as Trek-Tube, STO-Zone and Hailing Frequency.
In June 2010, he announced Star Trek Radio; a dedicated 24/7 radio station. The vision for Star Trek Radio involved bringing together an amazing team of people to provide an immersive and entertaining experience for fans of Star Trek by providing a Station Schedule full of great music, great talk shows and great personalities.
We also target players of the MMORPG Star Trek Online by Cryptic Studios and Star Trek Role-Players in virtual world simulators such as Second Life by Linden Lab. We regularly provide coverage of gaming events that take place in these locations.
We syndicate various Star Trek podcasts such as Red Shirt Army, STOKed, Hailing Frequency and STOKast bringing further quality talk-show style content onto the STO-Radio network. In addition, we syndicate many Star Trek audio fictions. ST Outpost, Section 31, and ST Defiant are in current rotation on our station schedule. Coming soon are ST The Continuing Mission, ST Excelsior, ST Pioneer, and ST Lost Frontier.
Finally, Star Trek Radio regularly interviews a range of celebrities and special guests. Recent interviews included Chase Masterson (Leeta, DS9), Tim Russ (Tuvok, Voyager), Kevin David Anderson (Night of the Living Trekkies), Daniel Stahl (Executive Producer, STO), and the popular sci-fi rock band Warp 11. Our Team
In addition to the station’s owner, Zach Nicodemous, our top level management and coordination team includes:
Risa – the General Manager and Captain’s Yeoman. In addition to keeping the Captain sane, supervises the day-to-day operations of the station and development of staff. Serves as a liaison between the staff and station owner.
Kinneas – the Creative Arts Coordinator for Star Trek Radio. In charge of a team whose maintains then overall visual consistency of the station’s web presence and artwork to be displayed in game areas, or on products.
Mighty Mundane – the Technical and Production Quality Coordinator. Responsible for all on-air, technical, and production activities and production quality at Star Trek Radio.
