@ saavik, A much better look, remember seeing Joan Jett and the Blackhearts, when they where considered the loudest band ever at the time, perhaps ever, lol.

Of course for some of us it was big bells and white t-shirts.

Ahhh, the memories, when concerts went for 7.50 a pop and movies where affordable - Blockbusters with lines and full three month runs

Nope,  Rob, I was the one dressing like Joan Jett and the Runaways.  LOL

JD you are probably right.

Saavik, I wasn't sure, you could have been a closet disco gal with the day glo shoes, lol

I had a Pinto and 8 track long ago. Still have a reel to reel down in the garage. Wonder if it still works.

Comment by JD on February 8, 2012 at 1:00pm

Sadly, there are probably people reading this that have no idea what an 8-track, reel to reel, or Pinto even are.

Comment by Saavik on February 8, 2012 at 11:47am

Do you REALLY think someone who has bought so many different versions of an album by Rush would like disco?

Comment by Rob on February 8, 2012 at 11:27am

ha ha, its so good to bond saavik. Those were the day's. I still hate disco, lol.

Comment by Saavik on February 8, 2012 at 10:01am

Comment by Rob on February 8, 2012 at 9:38am

March 29: On This Day in Science Fiction History

When STAR TREK: THE NEXT GENERATION premiered, I'm not entirely sure fans were all that enamored with the character of ship's counselor Deanna Troi.  It wasn't that she wasn't interesting and lovely as portrayed by series regular Marina Sirtis -- rather, it's that the writers didn't quite know what to make of her.…See More

March 26: On This Day In Science Fiction History

Those of us who grew up with the original Star Trek know firsthand how important Leonard Nimoy is to our beloved franchise.  As the half-human half-Vulcan sciences officer Mr. Spock, Leonard brought a special gravitas to the role, showing audiences even an alien 'halfbreed' had something that resembled humanity.  It's…See More

March 25: On This Day In Science Fiction History

Wow.  I imagine that it would've been pretty hard to play a Klingon under all that make-up and costuming, but talent like Robert O'Reilly sure made it look easy.  He played Gowron, who started out on Star Trek: The Next Generation but graduated into a much bigger performance on Star Trek: Deep Space Nine.  That…See More
