U.S.S. Diversity NFC-97028

The U.S.S. Diversity NFC-97028 is a fledgling chapter of the International Federation of Trekkers (IFT or The Federation) located in Buffalo, New York. Although we hope to establish a strong physical presence, we are also very open to cyber membership.

The Federation is the only Star Trek fan organization endorsed by the Roddenberry family, and Gene Roddenberry himself co-founded the organization.

Our mission in the U.S.S. Diversity NFC-97028 is to promote creativity, abolish war, materialism and money, grant healthcare, food, and shelter to all, and build a better future, where no one is discriminated against on any basis, including race, gender, sex, pregnancy status, union or marital status, familial or romantic or platonic or business relationship status, institutional bias, ethnic or social origin, color, sexual orientation or identity, personal preferences, lifestyle, age, ability, religion, conscience, belief, culture, language, home place, background, or birth.

Although a Star Trek club, we appreciate fandoms including Doctor Who, Avatar, Battlestar Galactica, Firefly/Serenity, Andromeda, Star Wars, and even vintage Sci-Fi like Invasion of the Bodysnatchers and Lost in Space.

We promise not to get bogged down by overly militaristic pageantry, bureaucracy, and infighting. The goal is to have fun!

The U.S.S. Diversity NFC-97028 is an Odyssey-class Star Cruiser, just like the U.S.S. Enterprise NCC-1701-F.

Getting Commissioned as an Official Chapter

Just a note: We are not an official IFT chapter yet. The goal is for at least two more members of this chapter (aside from myself) to join IFT as "Officers", and then I can submit the chapter for commissioning.
You may join IFT at http://www.iftcommand.com/cms/home/sign-uprenew.html (And don't forget to join as "Officers". It's only twelve bucks!)
Please let me know once you have!
