Em, Hello :)

I went through all of the communities, and there is no place for us UKers! Shame! So, I had to make one :) Eh, I have no idea what else to do though :P It would be really cool to just chat to others about Trek, meet up, complain about Sky showing part of the series then pulling it with no warning, and so on!

Hello to my fellow Star Trek fans in the UK! Inspired by the inter group cooperation I took part in at Dawn of the Federation, I am currently compiling a list of Star Trek: Into Darkness cinema group meet ups here in the UK and am plotting them onto a Google map.  If you would like your event to be included on the map I need the following basic information
Group name: Date: Time: Address of Venu...e: Event Leader: (Name and eMail) Further information: (A few lines about the exact format of your event – movie and pizza, group recruitment, etc., etc.)
If you could please forward these details to me in a PM I will make sure that they are added.   Once the map is publicised (which should be by the weekend), please share it  on your websites, twitter accounts, Facebook pages, and any other social media platform that might have passed me by.   The more people who share the map, the greater the chance that it reaches someone new who might not have otherwise known about a chance to meet with other Star Trek fans near them.

On the 16th March 2013 we will be taking to the streets of Newcastle to raise money for Comic Relief.

Walking the old city walls of Newcastle, which is a circular walk of about 5k (3 miles) in costume, with some of us dressed as Borg drones, some as Klingons, some in Fleet uniforms. We may even have other sci-fi genre groups joining us. The Borg costumes are particularly difficult to walk in and while we hope to raise lots of pounds sterling we may just shed some pounds too.

So please dig deep guys, our fund-raising page can be found here http://my.rednoseday.com/sponsor/BorgWalk And if your unable to donate your support and help spreading the word would be greatly appreciated.

Had a great time at DSTL, however it was far to expensive to even go to the main talks! Being my first trek convention it was fun just listening to the free talks and taking a few snaps of klingons and other celebs. There's some photos on my page if you want to see photos from Saturday.

Starbase 24 just raised £1659 for Macmillan Cancer Support this weekend!  Thank you to all who contributed.  Banquet number 7 will be coming soon

Well, I was at a proper Trek event this weekend and it wasnt in London, it wasnt overpriced, there were no long queues and no complaints.... just trek themed fun and friendship the way its meant to be and around a thousand pounds raised for Macmillan.

Just wanted to drop a message in here to say, if anyone is interested, the Pendragon is a Multiplatform Sim which takes place on Nova and IRC, the IRC portion of the sim is going to be run at a time which is generally geared towards a more GMT friendly time (Most IRC based Sims I've observed have been EST based and often difficult to attend due to timing issues.)

If you want a real Star Trek experience, forget London, come and join us at the 6th Starbase 24 banquet... affordable, fun,  friendly, run for fans by fans, good food with a star trek theme and in aid of a truly great charity.

Yes, I know a lot of people have said the same thing - there are standard tickets which aren't so expensive but then don't include much!    I decided I would go and get a better ticket but then I am making it my main holiday this year and not travelling elsewhere instead, so can afford it!

Spock replied to Fleet Admiral S'Ran (aka) Keith's discussion "Maiden Voyage" in the group Intrepid Class Fleet
"The shuttlecraft lands at pad 2, and as promised there was a commuter waiting. Once Spock  is loaded onboard the Commuter, it takes off from Landing Pad 2 and 2 minutes later the Commuter arrives where the Silver Eagle is docked."
