I have been trying to start a meet up group in the Brighton area for 3 months now, cant find anyone!

The group is doing well here on Trekspace though, good luck Jason, I hope you can find some people!

I've had problems logging in just recently, so don't know if there has been issues and that's why things are a bit quiet?

Organising a convention, wow, that's no mean feet. What area were you thinking of?
