USS Copernicus

Greetings, we are a group of science fiction enthusiasts who have known each other for upwards of 15 years, getting acquainted with each other in the era of computer BBS's.  Our main focus is on Star Trek; all genres. That's not to say we are not interested in any other SciFi or fantasy. We are fans of Harry Potter, Star Wars, Stargate (all three), Battlestar Galactica (original & remake) and Dr Who among others.

Our interest in SciFi has afforded us the opportunity to volunteer at Creation Conventions for a number of years. That lead to our meeting and getting to know a number of the actors of some of our favorite shows.

When we are not helping with a charity, we are meeting socially on Friday evenings. We discuss the current shows on TV and the movies. A couple of our members are also members of other clubs which include SciFi clubs and a San Diego Astronomy Assoc. We are also affiliated with a Star Wars club in Tijuana MX and have met with them several times both in Tijuana and here in San Diego.

There is also an annual trek to Disneyland in the spring where SciFi clubs from all over the So Calif area NV & AZ, get together for a day of fun.
