MAKE IT SO! The continuing adventures of the USS CYGNUS.... For all keen Simmers! Jump on and join in!
IF YOU ARE NEW TO THE GAME PLEASE READ THE PREVIOUS FEW PAGES BEFORE YOU POST! GET TO GRIPS WITH THE STORY SO FAR AND THEN WHEN YOU ARE READY JUMP IN AND HAVE FUN WITH IT!
BUT PLEASE DONT RUN IN PHASERS BLAZING BEFORE YOU HAVE INTRODUCED YOURSELF AND STATED YOUR INTENTIONS!
This is the prime directive. Before joining in it is best to send a private message to the Captain, discuss your character and position onboard. Before you send that live post, is it going to ADD to the fun? Or will it be derogatory, slandering, offensive in anyway? Let's all play fair and don't stop another player from bringing a thought or scenario into live sim play.
The GM (Games Master), the Captain of the ship shall be in control of the ship at all times. If you have a big idea you want to see unfold on the live sim... Private Message the Captain or another person and work out the details first and then and only then the two of you can bring it into the sim. If a crew member get's out of line and begins to stray or alter the live sim in any way other than where the Captain wants it to go, THEY ARE IN VIOLATION OF THE PRIME DIRECTIVE! DO NOT HIJACK THE STORY! BE A TEAM PLAYER!
Many Thanks
Captain Richard Magnusson - Games Master

I am still in charge of everyone's safety, and I can't do that very well if I let myself get distracted. As appealing as the thought may be. Besides, I would hate to have to defend myself in the buff, not that I am embarrassed of the idea, it's just not an appealing thought. (smiles to Odo, then continues to monitor the surroundings)
Permalink Reply by Q on July 8, 2012 at 6:47am It was uncomfortably humid at the ancient Roman-style baths on Davzethi III. But T’Sinde chose not to disrobe for a swim.
As this was a time to relax, T’Sinde chose to work on her art. Using the small computer she’d brought for such leisure purposes, she sat off to one side of the baths and edited a photo of the reflecting pool with all the ripples that Q swam up from. There, it was finished. She titled the picture “Watching the Ripples.”
While it was tempting to work on more art, T’Sinde decided it would be better to observe her surroundings. She noticed at least one crew member from the USS Cygnus enjoying the pool. Evidently his name was Odo, from what she’d overheard on Captain Magnusson’s communicator. T’Sinde looked forward to getting to know the others as well.

He took the opportunity to check in with the Cygnus...}
Magnusson to Cygnus, Status Report.
{Ensign Carleton spoke over the Communicator.}
All systems green Sir! However we are picking up some strange readings from the Asteroid belt, some kind of interference, running a diagnostic on the Sensor array as we speak.
Very well, keep me appraised, Magnusson out.
{Just then the Captain heard another strange murmuring from the crowd somewhere behind him.}
"I'm telling you, we will regret this!"
{As the Captain turned to see who was speaking a large group of Citizens walked past obscuring his view....}
(seemingly coming out of a state of lulled sences, K'Hel uses his communicator to locate his fellow crew. ) "Commander Shranothing, but I still feel like Im not alonen, this is Lt. Kurkura, please transmit your co-ordinates, via communicator, so that I can make my way back. Ive evidentally been someones guest, but I would rather be with rest of crew! Did you ever hear the old story about the frog? If you place a frog in boiling water, he will jump out! But, you put that same frog in a pot os tepid water and slowly increase the heat, he will inevitably be boiled to death! Im starting to 'notice' the aroma' of cooked frog! It may be nothing, but I still feeling that Im not alone. I would appreciate a few moments, after I re-join the landing party, as a precaution, Sir!"

Permalink Reply by John (aka 3 of C) on July 9, 2012 at 6:25am I overhear K'Hel's message and start scanning the area with my ocular implant, on all frequencies I can reach. Belatedly I realize it may be futile, as the Dazvethi technological advances likely outdistance my Borg implants.
Permalink Reply by Q on July 8, 2012 at 1:48pm The Vulcan stood to greet Commander Odo.
“I am Ambassador T’Sinde, representing the United Federation of Planets on this diplomatic mission. Davzethi III was a last minute assignment for me—Captain Magnusson was informed enroute. On his arrival, I briefed him on my first two days here. It’s an honor to meet you, Commander Odo. I look forward to working with you. Congratulations on making first contact with First Citizen Jakurat. Meanwhile, I see you are an expert swimmer who is very much at home in the water. How are you finding your stay here so far?”
T’Sinde’s physical age was close to 50, indeed young for a Vulcan, and her looks fit that age. Her posture when she stood to greet Odo was simple and straight, short for a Vulcan at 5 ft. tall, and without the smugness or that self-important look that some ambassadors carried. Her greeting was sincere and friendly.
Odo wondered a little bit about this ambassador whom he’d never heard of before, and who could easily be mistaken for a civilian artist or even a student.
(Odo feeling somewhat inebriated from the liquid stood up from the bath and kissed TSinde's hand). It's a real pleasure to meet you Ambassador and all I can say to a beautiful lady is....Welcome Aboard!

On hearing these words come over the communicator of a nearby Andorian, T'Sinde raised an eyebrow. So this was the coincidence Q had spoken of. She had last seen members of the Kurkura Household 134 years ago. Q had made her disappear from one of their Klingon vessels. There had been no witnesses.
"Aye, Sir, I'll be there in 2 mikes. May I ask Sir, if all of the away team has rendevoud with you...everyone accounted for?"
