[unnecessarily long-winded essay]
I'm a 3rd-year student (although a senior by hours) in college attending the University of Texas at Dallas. Initially I was to major in Astronomy but due to personal and health-related issues, I switched schools and am now on track for a major in Arts & Technology.
I'm an avid fan of all Star Trek series and movies, am very into computers, art, science, mathematics, business...you name it.
As I am no longer destined to be a scientist in the academic sense, I have dedicated myself to some day founding a very engaging and hands-on museum centered around the sciences. If I am not to directly contribute to the advancement of humanity as a result of the improvement of our species' scientific understanding, perhaps I can inspire others to do so.
In the meantime I plan to work as an artist, both digitally and traditionally, and hopefully even get into animation and special effect physics and work maybe even on a Star Trek movie at some point.
Star Trek stands for more than just science as do I. I am dedicated to equal treatment for all people and the Utopian future to which the ideals of Star Trek will take us.
