Profile Information

Your favorite Star Trek Series
TOS, TNG, DS9, Voyager, Enterprise
Are you a member of a Star Trek fan club?
Yes
About Me:
OK the problem with "Your favorite Star Trek Series" is lacking one other option, which is of course All of them.
Ya know, "Infinite diversity in Infinite combinations",
Until we on this planet begin accepting everyone how ever different we might be, by race, religion, nationally origin or sexual orientation, or even which Trek is the best, only then are we or can we be worthy to reach for the stars, because we have defeated the enemy within, hate, bigotry and prejudice, the greatest enemy we have isn't out there, it is down here from each other, for power, religion and so on.
Only then can and will we be worthy to not only go where no one has gone before, and reach to the stars, but save ourselves and our planet in the process, this is (I believe) the legacy Of Gene Roddenberry, and our place as "Trekkers" is to not only show the world that this can and must be done, but we then are a United Federation, against Hate, fear, prejudice, organized religion, different political views and global poverty and illness and famine.
Not only will and must we save ourselves but our planet as well. As it is I have always strive to be honest with others, I am HIV Positive and I have lost my friends, and family because of the stigma that comes with this disease, I wonder who we blame and stigmatized over this new outbreak of disease?,............Just a thought, all the energy put into blaming others and turning our nose down at them is the energy we could be using in addressing and finding a cure for it., The same is true of AIDS., \\//_ I wish you peace and long life, and if you wish to be my friend that would be awesome too. ( guess I should put in here that I am gay white male, from Virginia but have lived in LA since 1982, I was a former Nurse and am now retired, living alone with this disease day by day), I welcome your hand in friendship who ever you are, Thank you.
