Greetings and salutations.

My name is Ashley, and I am 19 years old. I am a Freshman in college and I am in the medical field studying to become a surgical nurse. I currently attend TMCC here in Reno, NV, but as of January of next year I will be a student at the University of Washington in Seattle. I am a huge lover of science, and I am thrilled to be getting into the medical field. As for now, I'm content with surgical nurse, but who knows, I might go all the way and become a surgeon some day! I can never seem to learn enough, so the more school and knowledge the better.

Alright, enough about me! More about Star Trek! Yes, I love it, obviously. No words could possibly describe it. I love TOS, TNG, and DS9 more than anything, even if I do enjoy VOY and can tolerate ENT (probably more than you could get me to admit). My favorite alien races are Romulans, Cardassians, Andorians, Betazoids, and Vulcans. I have been to three Star Trek conventions, the one down in Las Vegas that is held annually, and I live for it every year! Jeffrey Combs is my drug of choice, and I am a huge fan of his. Getting to finally meet him and see him perform live on stage have been big treats for me; I can die happy now!

Apart from Star Trek, I love quite a few other Sci-Fi series and films. Dr. Who is something I really enjoy, along with Eureka and Fringe. However, I am a HUGE fan of the horror genre, specifically things along the lines of Re-Animator and House on Haunted Hill, classic horror stories made into fantastic movies. I'm a big movie buff in general, and if it's a B-rate slasher or a low budget independent film, I've probably seen it or own it.

I also am a huge fan of literature. I love to read and write, almost as much as I love the sciences. Actually, the pursuit of knowledge is a wonderful thing, and I never plan to give that up. My personal favorite writers are: Stephen King, Edgar Allan Poe, Dean Koontz, H.P. Lovecraft, William Blake, Geoffrey Chaucer, and William Shakespeare.
