Renda C./ Admiral T'Moya said… I understand, we had a similar incident here. A deported man slipped back into the Country and back into Heflin, Alabama where he proceeded to Guzman Trailer Homes and killed his Brothers and a small infant. Then he shot at Police and took off endangering lives of everyone on the road he hit cars shot a police officer before he killed himself. Now the small community of Heflin is mourning the loss of a tiny infant and the babies father and uncles, and all for what? Seems like the deported man must have thought his family tipped immigration off.... So sad :(
Renda C./ Admiral T'Moya said… Hi Brian, hope all is well with you...
kukalakana said… Good luck on your new job -- was surprised but very happy to hear from you. I'm working on my Grad.Dip. in English Literature, and meanwhile still looking for work and of course always writing. Cheers. ^_^
Just thought you might be interested to know I sent DFC M Williams the final version of USS Silver Fox's logo design. Despite the fact that I am working with visual programs that aren't terribly sophistated, the logo design turned okay.
Here is a convention listing for the Starbase 2 area (that you may or may not have heard of)
* Sci Fi in the Valley Con -- May 18-20th (speculative fiction) Johnstown, PA -- www.scifiinthevalley.com
* Steampunk Worlds Fair -- May 18-20th (steampunk) Piscataway,NJ -- http://steampunkworldsfair.com/?cat=32
* Balticon -- May 25-28th (regional SF/F con) Baltimore, Maryland -- www.balticon.org/
* NEFilk 22: ConCertino -- June 29-July1st (filk music) Boxborough, Mass. -- www.concertino.net/

* ConnectiCon -- July 13-15 (massively multi-genre) Hartford, Conn. -- http://connecticon.org/
The above listings came from the March club newsletter of the National Fantasy Fan Federation (N3F) (all SF/F genres).
Thanks for letting the USS Silver Fox chapter be a Nova class starship. I hope you don't catch heat from the top brass at SFC.
Also, I just got in contact with another Trek fan here in Jamestown, NY. How about that, the USS Silver Fox might have two members soon.......maybe. It could be fun in any case.
Also, picking up more photo samples for my newsletter's swimsuit edition 8-)
It looks like I owe you and the rest of the SFC an apology. I was in the process of reading the Starbase 4 newsletter when Admiral Johnson mentions that SFC chapters with one or two members are listed as Runabout class starships. Oops!... I didn't know that. I guess I haven't looked over the current AFED very closely. In the second issue of the USS Silver Fox newsletter, I show the starship as a Nova class starship.
I'm sorry Brian, I screwed up. Luckily I haven't sent out any copies of the newsletter to outside fan groups yet. I'll make the correction in issue 2 (and the issues after), and in a couple days send an apology through the SFC yahoo group.
I guess that's all for now. Clear skies, Jeff Wilcox

Greetings and Happy Birthday
Remember me? Its been months and months since I communicated with you. Sorry that I hadn't renewed my membership last year (even though SFC still lists me as a member). Hope you and your family are doing well. Things are slow here in western New York ( I've been looking for work for eight months now -- arrgh!), so my Trek fan activity is picking up. If I can twist my wife's arm alittle bit (and if she doesn't kill me for it in return) maybe I can scrap together the dues for the SFC before the end of the month is out. I really need to get back into the swing of it; the mundane world drives me nuts and I need the fan activity to keep myself busy and remind me of who I am inside ( and what I really am capable of doing). How things work out this time around I have no idea, but I will try to avoid the mistakes I made last time I was in the club (less trying to recruit for a group locally and more letter/email correspondence)(plus art, news, and so on -- you know).
See you around.
Greetings all, I'm Commodore Brian W. Peterson of Starfleet Command. A few days a go Starfleet Command sent me a pin Honoring my 20 YRS. of Service.…

This is the first update on this project. I started painting the
saucer. First with flat white, then I use painters tape to make a pattern. This was easy to do with the top half of the saucer as seen in this pics.
As stated this was easy for the top part because the top of the saucer has a…
