And I  really did not think about the un-American angle till just now. And you are right. Sounds like I should go the web page and complain. Same thing happened in the '90's ' when they tried to "modernize" him. Remember that debacle? Part one The Hobbit in Dec. bout time. And new Trek next summer I do believe.

Agreed. They seem to almost always mess things up in some way or another when they do remakes. And who would have ever thought by the way that we would be seeing things like The Avengers on the big screen someday. Now that, I thought they did a great job. It is now one of my new favorites added to the list. Rumor has it the new Superman coming next summer, and the next Batman, are going to be setting us up for The Justice League. And they better do that one right for sure.

Greetings Frank, thanks for dropping by. So, GORT, I love it. That is one of my all time favorite Sci Fi movies, have both. Got the original for $5 at Block Buster Video awhile back. And, you write?

Oh, I'm certain good opportunities can be found almost anywhere.  There is one other reason why I am moving.  A while back I was married.  At the time I was already considering moving to Ohio, but my wife wasn't fond of the idea.  After the divorce, I started thinking about it again.  I guess you could say it was one of those moments in my life where I really started thinking about who I was, and where I wanted to go in this life.  Ultimately, I decided to take a chance.  I'd much rather give it a shot and risk being disappointed with the result, rather than never trying and wondering what could have been, you know?

At 11:51pm on March 22, 2012, David Pietrzak said…

lol, truth be told, I'm more of a winter person, and I know Ohio has plenty of snow =).  I'm originally from Orange, CA, but I have a few close friends that I have known since high school who have moved up there.  So I suppose you can say it's a combination of good friends, future snowy days, and a pretty good job opportunity, that I know I would regret passing up on.  Now that I think about it, a bonus to this move would be the fact that I get to see J.J. Abrams next Star Trek movie 3 hours earlier than if I were to watch it in California!

At 11:35pm on March 22, 2012, David Pietrzak said…

I hope it's for the right reasons as well.  I guess this is one of those things that have been long over due, and I feel now is the best time to start a new chapter in my life, starting with this move.  Either way, despite the relatively long distance, I always look forward to making new friends, especially when it revolves around Star Trek.  Cheers! =)

Hi there!  Thanks for the friend request =)  Yeah, LA isn't too far away from where I live, although next month it will be.  This is my last month in Anaheim, I'm moving to Ohio in April.  Have a good one!
