Captain Shran III: aka Patrick said… You should check out this page also. A friend of mine sent this to me a couple weeks back.
Captain Shran III: aka Patrick said… One of his friends and he are working to get a new resort built in Vegas. And you guessed it, Star Trek themed. It will in fact be shaped like the Enterprise D if everything goes right. And as for the uniforms, oops, hate to admit it; I never did own one. Had all kinds of other Trek memorabilia though. Clocks, remotes, wall murals, collector plates, models, posters, novels, bumper stickers, yeah it was pretty Trek in my house for a long time. But unfortunately a lot of that is gone now also. Some of it packed up and some of gone, unfortunately.
Captain Shran III: aka Patrick said… Also, if you FB at all, you should check out Star Trek: The Resort. This is being done by one of the guys in the sim I do here on Trekspace. It should prove to be pretty awesome. I could live with going to work, putting on a Star Trek uniform, and having fun all day. I believe he said they are looking at Vegas for that.
Captain Shran III: aka Patrick said… Wow, that was fast. Somewhere amongst my stuff there are Nit Pickers Guides to TOS and TNG, possibly DS9 also. I should find the one for Voyager and finish off the set. I have not seen the fan made ones you are referring to. However, I have seen the fan made episodes that are coming out of NY. In fact a large number of Trek actors have had appearances in these. It's @ Star Trek: Phase 2. They are not bad, even down to the special effects. Acting could use a little work, overall though, not bad.
Captain Shran III: aka Patrick said… I agree, some reboots get today's normal modern stamp of stupid on them and are forever ruined. And Star Trek '09' was actually good. I liked it a lot also. Abrams is still at the helm, so, there is hope. Was watching an episode of Voyager the other day and caught a continuity error. In one scene the Dr. is holding a hand scanner and tri-corder, in the next he is holding a padd, and we never see him switch up. Anyway, thanks for getting back to me. Currently I am doing a M*A*S*H marathon.
Captain Shran III: aka Patrick said… So, looks like we are getting the Star Trek sequel soon. Alright maybe not that soon, last report says May next year. Anyway, just wanted to stop by and see whats up. And see if you wanted to talk Trek some. Give a holler.
Frank S said… Just another guy welcoming you here :)
Captain Shran III: aka Patrick said… Greetings Hagell. Hows things in your neck of the woods? Hopefully you are not getting carried away or threatened by any tornados.
