That sounds awesome...I have very little scientific or mechanical knowledge, but I do find it fascinating trying to figure things out...Keep with your idea. My friend and I would eventually like to start a real life Starfleet Academy. (Due to licencing, etc. we would probably call it AAHA (Academy for Advanced Human Achievement.) But the whole premise of it, it would eventually become a research center...Anyone with any idea - especially Star trek based technology could come and collaberate with others in making the technology workable. The major advantage would be that nobody's ideas would be thrown out as crazy; we would begin based on the assumption that it is possible, and find out how to get from where we are now, to where we are then, to make it work. Whenever we get it started, I invite you to be a part of it.
