I work on Broad St., near Exchange Pl. Didn't know that you worked in the area. Cool! What the heck is the foul smell eminating from those grates on Exchange btw Broad & William St. I usually cover my nose when passing through. Smells like something died under there!
I can only imagine the flooding in Red Hook. What is the RH tunnel used for anyway? I always have been curious about what is underground.
Yesterday, I met Zelda the wild Turkey who has lived at Battery Park for almost a decade. She looked like she survived the storm, no sweat. Tuff turkey!

Sorry to hear that you lost power and water. That is miserable. I applied for UI. I would rather take UI and watch Trek than do my job anyway. I visited my worksite. Flooded, no phones, cameras out. just got power back. And on Exchange Pl, it smells like 1,000 people had diarhea! They are furiously pumping out lower Manhattan. Did a tour of the area and South Street Seaport today. What a mess. Heard that folks in Red Hook got FEMA and the Guard, but both showed up with no supples for them. Ridiculous! Glad you are all better off now!!

I got bored and cut off all my hair!!! I need to go back to work, but Sandy has thus far released me from that great burden. I have no idea when I will be back at work and my idle hands are proving to be the devil's workshop. I hope that you and your family made out well during the storm!
