Television and film music composer Fred Steiner, has died. He was 88. Steiner contributed music to more than two dozen episodes of the original "Star Trek" TV series, music that resurfaced in 1979's "Star Trek: The Motion Picture" and, most recently, for "Star Trek New Voyages: Phase II." He also provided music, although uncredited, for Star Wars Episode VI: Return of the Jedi" in 1983.

Greg Littlefield said… I thought the exact same thing regarding Spock & Uhura while watching it last night. So much potential character development in that episode, too! I particularly loved the ricochet sound effect and sped up film in the scene where Crater was shot. That was classic.
