"The latest on 2099, the reboot of Space: 1999, is that it is still in pre-production, and some of its artwork can be seen on their website at Space:2099. They are also working on remastering and updating episodes of the original series, and frankly…"
"Anyone register for Obamacare yet? The first of the year a lot of new fees will kick in so things are likely to get even worse in the coming months. But next November is the Congressional midterm elections. And historically the party holding the…"
"Space Precinct was a live action show produced by Gerry Anderson in the mid-nineties that featured humans and aliens who were more or less muppets with actors inside costumes instead of using marionettes like in his earlier classic series. The…"
"Speaking of violent the show begins with Captain Scarlet in a shootout in a back alley. People really got shot! And this is a children's show? Then again I remember Mike Mercury in gun battles in Supercar way back in the early sixties. And in…"
"Can somebody explain this to me about this series...but in the first episode, in the first five minutes, didn't Captain Scarlet die in a car crash caused by the Mysterons, and then a duplicate took his place? This duplicate may be…"
"Both Star Trek movies are beginning to look a lot like Enterprise where everything is supposed to take place prior to the original series. Of course the new movies also take place in an alternative universe where the events in the original series…"
" If either of the last two movies hadn't been called Star Trek they could have been sequels to Galaxy Quest. Abram's movies are starting to look something like Enterprise, everything is prior to the original series so it's…"
"They had Nimoy in the first movie so there's no real reason not to put Shatner in the second as someone other kirk. Or a cameo as the new Kirk's grandfather Tiberus as mentioned in the scene when Kirk's parents briefly debated what to…"
"There is real research going into velocities beyond the speed of light as I write this. There have been a number of stories about faster than light travel in several magazines and websites including Popular Science. They're even calling it…"
"There supposedly is a remake of Space:1999 underway called Space: 2099, but there has been very little news about it recently. Frankly if anyone wants to reboot Space: 1999 the premise of the show has a fatal flaw--you can't have Earth's…"
"In case you haven't heard Gerry Anderson, the British Walt Disney, died yesterday at the age of 83. His son said that he passed away peacefully in his sleep. I grew up in the 60s and 70s watching Supercar, Fireball XL5, Stingray, Thunderbirds…"
Hi, I'm a sci-fi fan in general, but a StarTrek fan in particular ever since it went on the air in 1966 when I was only 13 years old. So I'm an old timer but up to speed with anyone about Trek. My favorite series is the original series which, in my humble opinion, is the only true Star Trek. The others are , well, sequels. Musicwise I'm a huge Beatles fan, and I love New Age music including Enya, Mannheim Steamroller, and Mike Oldfield. I also love Star Wars and I'm a big fan of Babylon 5, Stargate SG-1 and Atlantis,Farscape and James Bond. I'm also a big fan of the current Battlestar Galactica series from which I hope the people behind the new Trek movie learned a thing or two.

I hear ya. The difference between us and Liberals is that we care regardless of who is in office. Liberals become "Patriotic" when Liberals are in office. But even then. Its only to a point. I see you met Ellen. Lol she is a riot.
"I totally agree Richard, the Taylor classic was the best, but the '08 version with Pearce and Jones had its moments, including parts and pieces from that original time machine, as well as the participation of Wells' great grandson, in its…"
"After a few hours of merriment Magnusson stands to address his friends...
Gentlemen! The hour is late, and I have a few things to do before boarding the Cygnus-B!
Will you all meet onboard in the briefing room at 0900 Hours?
As much as I enjoy vintage sci-fi tales, the 2008 version of THE TIME MACHINE -- it premiered on this day back then, and it starred the usually reliable Guy Pearce and Orlando Jones -- was surprisingly uninspired. To its credit, it tried to retain the spirit of the H.G. Wells novel, but I thought…See More
