Am a bit of a fan, enjoy TNG, DS9, and Voyaer. Haven't had the opportunity to watch any of the Enterprise series. I get a little of a giggle when I go over and watch the original series. Have a great daughter who is growing up very quickly, nearly time for me to get some of my life back.

Guerrero1 A few centuries ago lived on the island of Okinawa a great master of martial arts called Inejiro Chofune, whose exceptional wisdom is legendary. There are many anecdotes about his teachings and advice, but among all highlights the history of proof imposed on his favorite pupil Ichiro Matsubara.

Ichiro was an excellent fighter: strong as a bear and faster and more agile than a devil. It was terrible with fists, kicking with even more. He began to train with Chofune when he was barely 12 years since the 14 already won the traditional local and regional tournaments. With 16 years Ichiro was unbeatable in many villages in the round. The only major shortcoming of this young man was his excessive pride. "I am invincible!", Used to exclaim clipping a big blow to the chest. To which Chofune responded with a face of anger and saying, "Nobody is invincible. The work of learning and refined never ends." And then you relate some old legend about warriors and gods believed to be invincible and came out defeated because of his excessive confidence.

But the fact that Ichiro was never lost. Peled against opponents who excels in age, size, strength, experience. But mattered little because the ability of the extraordinary couple always took precedence. Chofune noted with some concern that the ego of the teenager even Ichiro grew a little more after each victory. "Buscama adversaries of truth ...", said between laughs emboldened the couple. "That made me sweat a little ..."

Predictably Ichiro became extremely competitive and desconsiderado: despised and mistreated his fellow training; ever more disobeying his master. It was as if they were convinced that no one could teach him anything new, he knew much more than anyone, that I knew everything. We no longer listened to the lessons and advice, I just wanted trophies and prestige.

Chofune was worried because not only was about to lose his best pupil, but also had formed a perfect fighting machine that was uncontrolled. Therefore I needed a little lesson to him down the fumes. But not a humiliation but something that could draw useful lessons. Ichiro take months asking permission to give his master classes. So a cold autumn afternoon, after a hard training, Chofune Ichiro approached and told him: "Get ready because tomorrow you must overcome the most difficult test of your life. If you're ready to get being a teacher." That night Ichiro could not sleep.

Even when tipping the dawn Chofune came into his house and told students: "On the other side of Mount FUH, next to the waterfall Tsunoda, living a hermit named Ko. It is a great fighter. Go to your meeting and if you've managed to win proved enough to be worth teacher. " Drenched excitement and enthusiasm, Ichiro grabbed a stick and threw to walk up Mt.

The morning sun bathed shy with his weak stance throughout the valley while the couple was courageous step military, lost in their thoughts and fantasies. I tried to imagine the famous hermit: it would be a colossal giant, or rather a ferocious wild, or a hirsute sorcerer with terrible powers ... The more I thought about it, more encouraging, such was their recklessness and competitiveness. Even resonated in his head a recent reflection of Chofune: "Never, as far as the memory of the elderly, there has been a teacher for 17 years."

Suddenly, between meditation and meditation, Ichiro realized that was lost. It had just placed in a leafy forest, and lacked any reference point; every corner it seemed the same. After a few hours of drifting the couple began to get very nervous, progressing rapidly, torn clothing and skin against branches and chips; was not aware that actually was walking in circles. At the end managed to leave the forest, bruised and breathless, to realize that he had returned exactly the same point where they entered. It was about noon.

Covered with tears of rage, Ichiro redoubled step to surround the cursed forest. After a few hours came to an immense gorge rocks to cut knife. More lost than before, the couple began to climb the crags. Climbing, always climb. When he reached the summit did not recognize anything portent of the view that surrounded him. It was already dark and cold began to bite the skin. The wind whistled merciless between cliffs and Ichiro no longer knew where to go. Hungry and scared, is nestled against a rock and echo to mourn bitterly.

When light in the morning he awoke, a familiar silhouette cut in front of you. "Master!" Exclaimed recognizing Chofure. "You have not passed the test," he replied calmly. "But if I did not come to fight against the hermit! Tell me where you are!" Exclaimed arose with renewed verve. "Not Ichiro. You've been defeated, and the enemy more fearsome there: oneself. There is no hermit, this was a fight against yourself. Ibas blinded by the trust and you've lost. I was no longer your hand to guide, and for the first time in your life you've been scared. Before you want to overcome the other, you were a champion. superarte Now you have to concentrate on yourself to be a teacher. And I assure you, still have much to learn. "

Space

From here I turn up
This world do not think that the blue back
I left everything and I do not care
Behind the stars there is a place for me
A place far away, too far away
Who may never ever

I am just here alone, I am only here
I am just here alone, I am only here

When I programmed not told me
I had to do, and now you see
Now I am up here, watching your world
We do not understand knew
They told you that a robot
Has not, can not, has no heart
They explained that we did not feel that there was, that you should not

I am a man of this story tin space
And still wind golden sun.
Never again go back, never again revert

I am a man of this story tin space
And still wind golden sun.
Never again shall return, never return

I am just here alone, I am only here
I am just here alone, I am only here

mi fe y mi guia hacia mis sueños.

"Some might argue that Frankenstein was THE 1st science fiction story ever written. Personally, I think that one could go all the way back to the story of Icarus & Daedalus, or is that too much of a stretch? "

What I've Been Up To

Hey shipmates, Yeah, I haven't been around much lately, sorry about that. There's been a lot of personal nonsense going on that I won't go into; I come to Trekspace to take a break from sh** like that. Once the dust settles (I hope), I'll be here so much that you'll get sick of me! On a cheerier note, I've also been busy writing the 3rd entry in my Paul Murdock thriller series, and it is now available on Kindle! This is the first time I ever wrote a novella, rather than a novel or a short…See More

"@Mike: You are correct, sir.  Dinklage had a good presence, but from what I remember he was all attitude with little else to do.  Good program that hinted of a great idea, just never really caught fire the way some shows do."
