About Me:: Welcome to the official Trekspace Page for the independently produced non-profit web series STAR TREK BEGINS.

STAR TREK BEGINS is based on the original Star Trek universe but done in a "modern-retro" style and will chronicle the early missions of the first commander of the USS Enterprise NCC-1701, Captain Robert April and his crew. The web series will begin in 2245, five years before Pike, and twenty years before Kirk.

STAR TREK BEGINS is the manifestation of our passion for Star Trek, for film making, and our need as artists to be creative in our own way. The web series is more a "re-imaging" of the TOS universe than a "reboot" of TOS and will follow Trek canon more closely in relationship to its time period in Trek history, while making the established universe fresh and new.

STAR TREK BEGINS is not set in the Star Trek movie universe and is not based on the new films in any way. This web series is a completely nonprofit volunteer based production and is not meant to compete with the new Star Trek film franchise.
