STARSHIP YORKTOWN is a new fan produced live-action web series chronicling the voyages of the TOS period USS YORKTOWN NCC-1717 commanded by Captain Christopher Ryan. We are looking for volunteers to help with our productions. It doesn't matter what level of film experience you have, even if you don't have any, we can use you.

STARSHIP YORKTOWN is a nonprofit pro bono project home based in North Carolina, but we will film the ship interior scenes using the sets owned by the STARSHIP FARRAGUT web series which are located in St. Marys, Georgia. Most of the ship interior filming will be on three day weekends two to three times a year. Other locational shooting will be filmed within North Carolina on standard weekends.

We also need actors that can dedicate time to play a principal role in the web series, and there will be addtions for most of the principal roles, but we also need Star Trek fan-actors for supporting roles as well as extras for the crew. It would help if Trek fan-actors own a TOS period costume, but we will provide and attach a USS Yorktown insignia to your uniform (see Yorktown uniform insignias below). The Yorktown insignia will be a small gift to you for being a part of ship's crew. We are also looking for actors for our guest roles in our episodes, so if you have experience in acting, or if you just want to be an extra, then please let us know.

We can always use more people with skills and/or experience in film production such as writers, editors, directors, cinematographers, producers, FX make-up artists, sound techs, PAs, production managers, costumers, set builders, prop builders, general crew members, etc., but we also encourage people who are just fans of Star Trek or Sci-Fi in general to help with the series.

Additionally, everyone that works on the Starship Yorktown web series (be it behind or in front of the camera) will receive an episode credit, a website credit, a DVD of the episode, and will be provided food and refreshments on the set during production. We also plan to provide either a car pool system or rental vans for transportation to and from North Carolina to the St. Marys sets. We sincerely hope to be able to provide some sort of assistance with lodging while in Georgia as well.

We look forward to hearing from you!

Thank you!

Incoming Transmission

I was passing through your sector and wanted to say Hello. Hope all is well. We picked up strange readings from this area. If you are in need of any assistance all you need is to ask. Unfortunately things have been going bad for the federation but the tide is about to change. Thank you for your time.
