Yes please keep me up to date on it. If you can't find the right toy gun to modify let me know, I can get one for you and send it to you. I have a ship yard so I build ships for the most part. But its always fun to build rifles and stuff. We are going to make a few tricorders here soon. My cousin helps and I showed him how to make one and he wants to start making a few. My daughter was cleaning the house and found some medical scanners I made a few years ago. I just love to make stuff. One year a while back I made a real hydrogen fuel cell. It worked so I made a bunch more. Never did any thing with them but have a few ideas. Well stay in touch.  

I make both, plastic, and wood. Some have lights, some have lights and sound. 

These I made by changing a toy gun. It has lights & sound. I made videos on how to do it.

Its not as hard as you may think. With the first I used plaster (dry wall compound) to fill and shape. The second I used wood putty. The plaser was EZer to work with and came out better but the wood putty is more durable but hard to get a nice finish, but after done they look alike. The wood rifles look awesome but you can only add lights. Cost very from item to item. Most rifles cost $100 But like the warp core pro/set I'm building is about $1000. So you see. Cost can very. The holo emmiters I make very, plastic ones are $25 and the wood ones $50. Well check out the two videos, they will show how you can make a rifle if you want.

He does great work but it can cost, but like I said, he is very good at it. So check him out as well. He has some stuff ready to go. I have so many other things going I would not be able to get to it until after the holidays. I am building a pirate ship in my big shop and its almost done. And I'm working on making a movie so I have to finish the sets and props for that. With any luck I can get some film shot this winter. I have uniforms and equipment to equipt a landing party of 8 as well as material to make a few more uniforms. Here is just some of my stuff, there is a lot more. 

Also noticed your Holo Emitter. I make them too.
