- Most kids dream of being doctors, attorneys, police officers, entertainers, but not me. As a child growing up in Bloomington, Indiana, I remember always having a desire to play amongst the stars. At the time of his death in an unfortunate drowning accident, my father (Edward Janeway) was an Admiral in Starfleet. I was a young lady then, but I vowed to myself, that I would one day make him proud and follow the path he had laid out for me.
I'm now a Fleet Admiral for Starfleet within the United Federation of Planets and the former captain of the famed U.S.S. Voyager.
Our 7 year journey through the Delta Quadrant began after we encountered a life form called the "Caretaker". Myself and the ships crew were pulled into the Delta Quadrant through a wormhole. It sent us some 70,000 lightyears away from the Alpha Quadrant...away from home. During that time, we made first contact with dozens of species including The Kazon, the Vidiians, the Krenim, Species 8472, etc. We also had our fair share of battles with the Borg.
While on Voyager, I had some of the most unforgettable and extraordinary experiences of my life.

Hi Linda!! Didn't think the Rio was taking reservations, went to their website and August 2011 wasn't available..can't book this month anyway..Too many other things going on for me right now..But I do hope to book a hotel room soon, perhaps next mon…
