Writer Norman Spinrad's "lost" TOS Script

Lost TOS script

I just read this article about a script that was trashed and thought to have been lost forever. But a copy turned up that a fan had all this time, who gave the writer a PDF of it. I am not sure how to feel about the fact that it would have featured Milton Berle, though I tend to think it would have been pretty wonderful. Wondering what other Trek fans think of this.

RPG/Sim Tip for the day. How to keep great simmers.

In RPG/Simming world these days, the best way to keep great writers is to keep them in the storyline.

One of the quickest ways to lose good simmers is to ignore them, leave them out of the 'Clique', it is so easy to stay in ones comfort zone, and leave out the new people.  But consider this, when a Simmer comes to the Admin telling them that they have not posted because they are tired of talking to themselves; that is a clear sign that the Admins are not doing their…

Blog 1: Meet Ninqi :D

Why hello there!

I've never used the blog option on here, so i thought i'd give it a go.

Well to start off, I'm Ninqi, (prono: Nin-Kweye), I'm a junior and i've been a Trek fan since mid '09 i suppose. I got into Star Trek after ST:XI. Before that i hated it with a passion, but not for my own reasons- just because everyone in my house hated it. I grew up in a very Star Wars only family when i came to SF series', but i gave ST a chance when i found out that…

Captain's Log:

Hi my name is Steve .Im from the uk.I am a member of a great Star Trek group called Starbase 24.We have regular meetings and hold a charity banquet once a year raising money for Mcmillans cancer. All of this is due to the hard work of the two founder members of Starbase 24 who i and all the other members salute as they really work hard to raise money and promote all that is good and positive about Star Trek.I am trying to write a freeform role playing game to play at the banquet this year .so…

The Gamma Quadrant

Now that I'm finally catching up on DS9 on Netflix, I've found a nifty podcast called The Gamma Quadrant that does an episode-by-episode review of the series.  As much as I want to, I don't listen ahead of the episodes I've been watching.  To me, this is like a sort of Car Talk for DS9 fans.  The hosts are fun to listen to as they go about their discussions that are centered on that week's episode.  Highly recommended if you haven't listened to it yet.…

Makeup tips for geeks!!!!! ;)

People often ask me for makeup hints and tips. So here are a few ideas to help you create your character:

Makeup brands: my Vulcan character T'Pril used Mehron greasepaint in Shinto II, and lots of MAC eyeshadow in browns and greens. For Tahryn, the Andorian commander, I used Mehron waterbase in Blue, greasepaint Clown White for highlighting, and again lots of MAC eyeshadows in various shades of blue for shading, eyes, and…

VERY sad tonight...

Very sad to hear of the death of Whitney Houston tonight. I was with my baby girl getting ready for the winter formal dance when I heard the news. Her song..." The greatest love of all " was played I am sure at many graduations from High School or collage ceremonies, I am sure. She is best remembered for her role opposite of Kevin Costner in the movie"  The Body Guard". I know it is not Trek related...but like Michel Jackson...she was the greatest singer of all... a voice like a angle. She…

January 26: On This Day In Science Fiction History

Despite it being a bad idea, the crew of the Enterprise directly and indirectly 'tinkered' in Earth's past on more than one occasion, but none was quite as memorable and downright fun as first season's "Tomorrow Is Yesterday."  This Star Trek hour saw the crew of the Enterprise thrown back to the year 1969 and being…See More
