The social network for Star Trek Fans!
That's right, friends and family, today marks the birthday of the legendary Captain Kirk's alter ego himself -- William Shatner! And what would Star Trek BE without the essential Mr. Shatner?…Continue
So far as this sci-fi fan is concerned, there was a lot wrong with the ROBOCOP (2014) reboot -- video-game intensity of the plot; no real strong emotional core to Det. Murphy's struggle; and no charismatic villain in sight. But one of the things they got right was casting screen veteran Gary Oldman as the kind-hearted Dr. Dennett Norton, Robocop's kinda/sorta creator. Goldman was born on this day in 1958.…Continue

The best way I know to measure how well an actor is at his craft is to ask one simple question: "Could I imagine anyone else doing this role justice?" If you can't imagine anyone else in it, then the talent is probably appropriately cast for any…Continue

Finished the 1st draft of my new science fiction novel on Thursday. Still a long way to go, but after working on it for over a year, it feels GREAT to have reached this point. So break out the Saurian brandy & lock up your daughters, 'cause I'm celebrating!
Got it done and for more information on the pictures I've posted here about them, please visit my personal website:
Been busy as I get ready for the Emerald City Comicon this month, so I've not been online much. =^-^= Hopefully that changes as the first uniform is now done. The second one will be started soon and hopefully it'll be a bit better as I get more experience in doing such work. And…Continue

Well. It is finally finished.
I have thrown a few tidbits around over the last year or so, but finally the Wolverine Studios & Machinima Star Trek Technical Manual is finished.
Well, finished enough to copyright anyway.
I still have some clean up to do before I consider publishing.
In case anyone is wondering, the Tech Manual is a compilation of all the notes and research I have done over the years while writing a few screenplays; wondering exactly how this bit of…

My attempts at this challenge. Some are better than others, naturally.
He walked East, wishing he'd never fought.
Triceratops sees the new star, approaching.
Earth's last woman held her baby.
"Wait," said the stork. "Wrong…Continue

5 Bullet To The Head: Not science fiction or fantasy, but since it’s based on a graphic novel, it just barely qualifies to be on this list. It’s the sort of gritty, nasty, pulpy crime story that I’ve always loved. It also proves something that I’ve always known. Stallone and I might be getting a little long in the tooth, but we’ve still got it.
I've been working on my new mobile app idea. That's all I'll say for now.

The USS Ohio held its anniversary dinner yesterday. In attendance from the celebrating starship were Vice Admiral Barbara Buffington, Fleet Captain Janet Wagoner, and a young Human, somebody’s relative. Representing the USS Arizona was Admiral Roger Scritchfield. And representing the Continuum, well,…Continue

Anyway, I finally found a place for the fabric i need and just got that order done. Should be here in a week or two. Took forever to find a place that had the teal color needed in the cotton/spandex fabric I'm using instead of the wool twill. So once that gets here, I can get to work on the uniform. I will be doing everything by hand since I don't have a sewing machine. This is gonna be interesting as this is the first thing I've done that will be a lot of hand sewing. Cat tails are easy in…Continue

OK, I'm building a Klingon colony like my Federation colony and I'm wondering what all I should put in it. More mountains? More forest? More water/no water? The building are very much the same with a few changes but I would like ideas on landscapes.…Continue
Star Trek has influenced, to greater or lesser degrees, the world at large.
Technologies believed to be sheer fantasy 60 years ago are now reality due to the influence of Star Trek. Flip open communication devices, non-invasive medical scanners and powerful computers accessible to everyone are just three obvious examples.
Star Trek has also been a cultural influence. No matter what country you go to you can find Trekkies…

So I'm hopefully stopping back here more often! Still working on the uniforms... doing everything by hand since I can't use a sewing machine (vibrations mess up the nerves in my hands and arms, which isn't fun!). Also working on stories, that's a never ending thing! lol. =^-^=
