The social network for Star Trek Fans!
Not too long back, I had the good fortune of stumbling across a post involving what I was told were 'the Harp Twins,' a couple of lovely young ladies with a lifelong interest in -- of all things -- the harp. The post kindly directed me toward their YouTube Channel, as well as their…

Cultural Sovereignty in the Bajoran Sector: An essay.
This is an essay I wrote about a year ago. I'm sharing it here now because I have some extra thoughts to add, and am curious to see what people think on the subject, and also just for the sake of it.
Cultural Sovereignty in the Bajoran Sector
In the words of Captain Jean Luc Picard, the Bajora "were architects and artists, builders and philosophers when humans were not yet standing fully erect."…

Any Star Trek fans in the Pennsylvania/Delaware/New Jersey/Maryland/Virginia area?
Trekkies are pretty sparse in my area (Delaware), but I've been itching for a long time to put together some kind of dinner group/fan club for people in the above mentioned areas.
So the question is, is there anyone in those areas interested? It would be very informal at first, just a group of like minded individuals who can share their love of Star Trek.

WORLD RECORD ATTEMPT: MOST STAR TREK COSTUMES IN ONE PLACE, BE PART OF HISTORY!
Last year attendees at the Creation Entertainment Official STAR TREK Convention garnered the world's record by having 543 costumed Trekkers show up for the attempt to win the Guinness Book of World Records of most people in Star Trek costumes in one place at one time.
The count-down to the required number to beat (507) was tense and nerve-racking but the outcome was one to celebrate as one by one more costumed fans poured into the reception room to cheers and…

Calling all Star Trek Fans! Let’s Rally for a great cause!!

If you are a fan of Star Trek, then chances are you’ve seen Trekkies and Trekkies 2. Now, despite your personal thoughts of the movies, I’m sure we can all agree that the fans they featured on these films are some of the most devoted and heartfelt fans Star Trek has. One featured fan in particular, Daryl Frazetti, has become a good friend of ours here at Subspace Communique. You probably remember Daryl from both Trekkies and Trekkies 2 as the guy that dressed cats in…

Save Our Forests
Dear friends,
I wouldn't normally send out a plea of this nature to everyone I know but I feel so strongly about this I felt had to do something about it. I hope you do too?
Have a look at this:

I've just signed up to support the Save Our Forests petition. The UK government is planning to sell off all our forests. I've just signed up and…

How I made a Mark III Phaser Rifle.
If you are looking for a cheep Star Trek looking Phaser Rifle then make one like I did.
Go to big lots and look for the Pulse Blaster. $12.99
You will also need balsa wood or Plexiglas. I used both. And a small flash light. I used dry wall plaster but you can use auto body putty, fiberglass, wood putty. What ever you have or can get to mold the nose and fill in the sides. A saw blade to cut off the clip and scope.
So good luck and let me see what you come up…
