For all of you who are in "Mourning" I would like to understand why. I don't want to monopolize anyone's TS time but I am oh so curious. I also will not allow this to deteriorate into any thing remotely resembling a flame war. We all have opinions and I respect that. So please when you have a moment or two to spare, enlighten me.

Well, I am feeling pretty good. I have to be non-opinionated while I am at work so thank you for allowing me to express myself here. Yahhhhhhhh Hooooooo. Please excuse my outburst. It was very un-bank lady of me.

Well, I feel hopeful for the first time in many years. What was especially moving was reading an article by a reporter who spends most of his time overseas. He and his family, who have for so long been very careful not to advertise they're Americans, have been getting warm congratulations and cheers from Europeans and Asians. The same people who have been disgusted and frustrated by what they saw as American arrogance and selfishness are impressed and touched that we managed to vote in someone they see as a symbol of hope and progress. America may finally become a beacon of hope, again. It's been a while.

Actually I read that more people voted during this election than ever before in our history. An estimated 133 million and counting. About 62.5 percent of those eligible to vote. The thing that amazes me most is of those countries that elect their leaders the US ranks near the bottom percentage wise for voter turnout. Germany ranks near the top, in the 90 percentile range.

I keep hearing about people being unhappy with the Presidential election outcome. Did any of you vote? How does the shoe fit now that it's on the other foot?. Life will go on, as it has after every election for the last two hundred plus years. Obama will either live up to the hype, or not, and in four years we will go thru it all over again.

Indeed. I however am not among the mourning (Nice pun BTW!). The way I look at it things can't get any worse, unless perhaps we all were put through a time machine and sent to October of 1929. But then again I live in Ohio and the economy doesn't get much worse except possibly in Michigan.

Many Americans see this week as a time of "mourning".
