The Video Tutorial

This a tutorial I made that shows you how I applied my Trill spots.

This is my first attempt at doing the Trill spots. I used season one images from Deep Space Nine for a reference.

Trill Spot Shapes

These are some drawings of the shapes of the spots. I've organised them like this so they are easier to see.

Jadiza Dax (Fig 1)
Jadzia Dax, Fig 1 Jadzia Dax
I've outline in yellow to give a clearer shape. All the spots go in the hair line out. They have used her eyebrow, the part that arches downward, and have carried on that invisible line.
Jadzia Dax Jadzia Dax
The spots also continue down the face, onto the ear, and start again behind the ear going down.

Jadzia Dax

You can see that in season one Jadzia's spots are slightly different. down. They don't go right up to her eyebrow and they're not as dark or as large in the later seasons. They have kept the spots going into her hair line a constant.

Jadzia Jadzia

Ezri Dax (Fig 2)
Ezri Dax Ezri Dax
The style of Ezri's spots is slightly different to Jadzia's. Ezri's are smaller and there are a lot more of them squashed in.
Her spots also start with the arch in her eye brown and follow the line up to her forehead.

Harry Kim (Fig 3)
Harry Kim Harry Kim
Harry Kim also had Trill spots for a while. In the Voyager Episode Author Author, season 7. The area his spots go in is not as big as the other Dax character and only just meet his eye brown then follow that line up.

Renhol (Fig 4)
Renhol Renhol
Renhol Renhol
Her dots are made up from more spots than lines, like the other trills. They are also made with a darker colour, more black than the lighter browns that have been seen.

Timor (Fig 5)
Timor Timor
The shape of this Trill's spots is very liner, the line seems to be very straight going down the neck.

Trill Trekkies

April
April
April
April April
April had help from a friend to put these spots on. They used costume make-up and eye liner pencil to make this affect. She wasn't worried about the two sides not matching up perfectly and has gone for the large patterns. Even though she has no varied the sizes or got the trill shapes quiet right, it still looks very affective. Also the Trill spot pattern from her fore head down is the right shape for her face and she has not been afraid to go right up to the eye brow. Her website link is http://pyrokitty714.deviantart.com/ and I would like to thank her for letting me use her images.

Amira
Amira Amira
Amira Amira

Amira has made her Trill spots very small and detailed. She has also used a brown colour to do them too. I think the second photo is more affective Trill look because she has applied the spots more in-twined with each other.
The shape of where the spots go aren't the trill style as she hasn't gone more into her hair line, they look more like one of the test patterns they tried when re-creating the Trill look. Her website link is http://www.amiradance.com/ and I would like to thank her for letting me use her images.

Jenny
Jenny Jenny
Jenny has used henna to create her Trill look. The henna goes on dark and a bit lumpy, like you can see in the first picture. And in the second is after the henna has set, been peeled away and leaving the skin dyed in the patterns. I think Jenny is very bold as this can last a while on your face. I think the patterns around her neck are the right shape for this and she does change the size of the spots going up to her forehead. I think she should have come out closer to her eye brow so she could get some more of those lovely pattern spot patterns in. Her website link is http://jenniology.deviantart.com/ and I would like to thank her for letting me use her images.

Great post hun! Very informative. I like that you took the time to draw out the body shapes to show where the sport flow down to.
