William McCullar's IDIC Web Images and Other 90's Trek Internet Imagery

Hello all TrekSpace Trekkers,

Back in the early days of the Internet during the 90's (Well, yes, the Internet does go way back much further thanks to the Defense Dept) there were several Trek sites put up by fans. Two of my favorites were "The Star Trek Art Gallery" and William McCullar's IDIC website. Both were a treasure trove of imagery, imagination, and information.

Sadly, neither is around any more.

At the time I saved many of their images and later stored them on CD as jpeg images, as my life took many turns through ill health, divorce, career changes, and habitat moves. Now that my life is more settled I started to unpack boxes to get rid of clutter, when I chance upon a CD of those very images!

There are probably a few hundred, some fantastic, all quite nice. I hope to post here on TrekSpace as time permits.

William McCullar's site was great because of the detail he went into about the Star Trek filming and television models. I have some of those images as well.

And I have some images that even JJ Abrams might salivate about, like this one:
Reliant in Shipyard

There are more to enjoy and I hope you will. You can find these and more in the future at my album:
"Trek Images from 1990s Internet"

Hope you enjoy.

I loved William McCullars' site, and was sorry to see it go. He wrote a copy of articles for the old Star Trek Communicator back in the day, about the original Enterprise filming model, and I always hoped he might pull together enough photos and other materials to make a book or something on the model's history. I'm still hoping for something like that from the Smithsonian, but oh, well.... :)
